Love Your Lake Program *UPDATE*

posted Jun 18, 2017, 5:22 PM by BCBM Admin   [ updated Jun 30, 2017, 10:38 AM ]

All cottage owners should have received a letter from CCRAI explaining the Love Your Lake Program, which is scheduled for this year on the lakes in our area. The program will provide each cottage with a shoreline assessment, which will give you insight into how to improve the quality of our lakes - with the future in mind. This is the last year we can take advantage of a grant, which will cover 90% of the costs.

Volunteers are required to help out with the program. Each lake will be required to provide help in order to complete the tasks. The following are ways that you can help with the program:
  • Weekday accommodations for the data collectors *UPDATE* all accommodations are set!
  • Boat transportation (including operating the boat) while the assessments are underway
    • Important: your high school students can receive significant community service hours by helping with the program!
  • Funds - while the grant covers the bulk of expenses, all of the associations are chipping in to help cover the remainder. Any donations are welcomed and much appreciated as it will help CCRAI and other lake associations (including BCBM) manage the costs together.
We are looking at week of July 31 August 1 to August 4th for our lakes specifically.

For those who are interested in helping out, please contact myself ( or CCRAI directly (

More information is attached below - should you have additional questions, please get in touch. Please consider, and know that your efforts to help with this unique opportunity are valued by CCRAI and all of the associations involved.
